The Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals have made it to the IPL 2022 Finals and will be featuring in it for the first time after their maiden final appearance in 2008. It will hence be just the second time that the Royals will be coming this close to winning the IPL title. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson’s wife has posted an Instagram story, taking a dig at one of Star Sports’ ads which were broadcasted at the start of this season.

The season went amazingly well for the Rajasthan Royals throughout, and they managed well to end the league stage at the second spot in the points table. However, the Samson-led side was defeated by the Gujarat Titans in the first Qualifier. The side hence had to take the long route to reach the Finals. The men in pink defeated the Bangalore side convincingly in the second Qualifier to gain the ticket to the finals. Jos Buttler hit the fourth century of the season in the game against RCB and became the second player to hit as many centuries in a single season.

Charulatha Remesh, Sanju Samson’s wife, posted a screenshot of an Ad that was broadcasted by Star Sports on the first day of this IPL season. The IPL broadcasters, Star Sports, actually ran an animated advertisement that had caricatures of all the IPL teams and their captains. The video signified the race to the IPL Trophy, however, the ad didn’t contain any caricature of the Rajasthan side.

In regard to this, Charulatha posted the screenshot and wrote, “Saw this animated video showing the race for IPL 2022 on the first day of IPL. And wondered why there wasn’t any pink jersey.” In the very next story, Samson’s wife posted a picture to celebrate the Royals reaching the Finals of the season.

The Sanju Samson-led side is aiming at their second IPL title as a tribute to Shane Warne, who unfortunately passed away a few weeks back. Warne was the captain of the 2008 IPL-winning Rajasthan Royals side.

The Royals have done well so far and are looking well-set to lift their second IPL trophy. Sanju Samson has been impressive as the captain of the side as he has led the side to 9 wins out of 14 matches in the league stage. He has also scored 444 runs this season at an average close to 30 and a strike rate of 147.
