After completing the white-ball tour of Ireland now the Zimbabwe Cricket Team moves to Scotland for a 3-match T20 series. The series commences from Wednesday, September 15, in the Grange Cricket Club ground in Edinburgh. Zimbabwe had just completed a five-match T20I series against Ireland which they lost 2-3 to the hosts. Whereas the last time when the Scotland side played a T20I match was back in 2019. Hence it’s after a long while that the Scotland side will feature in a T20 International. This series against Zimbabwe will also be their last T20 assignment ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021.
The Scotland side is placed in the Group B of the T20 World Cup 2021, alongside Bangladesh, PNG and Oman. They will be playing their first Group stage match against Bangladesh on the 17th of October. Zimbabwe hasn’t been able to qualify for the World Cup this year and hence would like to put up a challenge against Scotland in the 3 T20Is.
