The pitch at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium is a bowler-friendly surface where it is hard for the batsmen to score runs. The pacers initially receive movement off the surface and trouble the batters. The variable bounce that is found sometimes on the pitch makes the job even more difficult for the batters. The slow nature of the wicket aids the spinners hence the middle overs are a crucial part of the matches here.
