Although UAE is coming after a painful defeat in the finals of the ACC premiere league against Nepal they have gained some valuable experience from that tournament which might help them against the Windies.
On the other hand, West Indies is still in their transition phase where they are finding the right balance of the team. However, both these teams will be later featured in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 qualifiers and this series will come as a handy preparation for the marquee event.

Sharjah Cricket Stadium Pitch Report
The pitch has historically favored the batters. It offers predictable bounce giving the batter freedom to play their strokes with full authority. It is also termed a batters paradise especially because of the short boundaries of both sides.
However, the batters do find themselves in trouble when the ball starts gripping in the second innings as the spinners come into play. The Sharjah pitch does get torn after being under the sunlight in the first innings. This makes the spinners get more turns than usual which troubles the batter.
The toss winnings captain might want to bat first on this wicker considering the harsh weather outside in the first innings. This strategy might help the team bowling second as most of their players will be having fresh legs.
