India’s young cricketing superstar Shubman Gill was recently seen in action during the five-match Test series against England. The right-handed batter came under fire for his series of poor performances at the No.3 position but he ensured to pick up lessons on the go and impressed everyone with pretty good performances. He finished the Test series as the second-leading run-scorer with 452 runs in five games at an average of 56.50.

He drew plaudits for assessing the conditions and going about his business in the series, smashing two centuries and two fifties. Case in point, the youngster hogged the limelight after he was spotted playing cricket with popular English singer Ed Sheeran. For the record, he is well-known for his acoustic guitar-based songs and hit singles such as Shape of You, Perfect and Thinking Out Loud.

The singer is currently in India, making the most of every moment. Today, he spent some quality time in Mumbai with Shubman Gill and comedian Tanmay Bhat. According to the recent pictures acquired by Zoom, Ed Sheeran can be seen taking part in a cricket match in Mumbai where he can be seen playing the game alongside the likes of Shubman Gill and Tanmay Bhat.

As per the images shown above, Ed Sheeran is clad in a white t-shirt and black shorts whereas Shubman Gill dons a white sleeveless shirt paired with black pants and Tanmay Bhat was dressed for a pink and white shirt matched with white pants. The pictures of the same spread like wildfire on social media. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill will be next seen in action for Gujarat Titans in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

For the first time in his cricketing venture, he will be leading the team from the front. Gujarat Titans finished as the runners-up in the previous season of the IPL. They lost to Chennai Super Kings in the showdown and it remains to be seen how they will go about their work in the new season under a fresh captain. Gujarat Titans will begin their campaign on March 24 as they will play against Mumbai Indians at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
