The 2nd India vs South Africa T20I is tonight being held at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Interestingly, this is only the 3rd T20 international assigned to the Guwahati Stadium.

The coin toss was called right by SA skipper Temba Bavuma and Team India were asked to bat first on a surface largely untested.

Though bowling first often turns out to be the correct decision in the shortest format of the game, Surya-Rahul blitzkrieg on a toothless surface made sure India were ahead at the half-way mark of 2nd IND-SA T20 international.

South Africa vs India 2nd T20I: Snake intervenes the game

Before the 8th over could begin, a rare and bizzare incident occurred on the field as a serpent intervention brought the play to a halt.

The Temba Bavuma-sized snake, however, came in the sights of a couple of SA players on the field and they informed the umpire (and KL Rahul) about it.

Soon, the Barsapara Guwahati Ground staff rushed in with required equipments to catch the shiny black crawler before it could cause any serious damage during the 2nd India vs South Africa T20I fixture.

Meanwhile, the players used the short break to take a few drinks and get set for the rest of the game.

KL Rahul, often schooled for his strike-rate struck the ball in excess of 200 to help the Men in Blue dominate the first half with his 57(28).

Thereafter, SKY (61) and Kohli (49*) joined hands for a violent 102 run partnership off just 40 balls, paying zero respects to the International Non-violence Day.
