Tottenham Hotspurs’ mid-fielder Delle Alli is quite the sensation for his sensational footwork skills. But his recent Instagram stunt, featuring him juggling a cricket ball has impressed both cricket and football fans alike.
On Monday, Dale took to Instagram to post a video of him practicing alongside his Hotspurs teammates. The Spurs were engaged in a casual indoor-cricket game with goalkeeper Joe Hart taking his turn batting. One of the Spurs bowled to Joe, which the left-hander tried to dispatch over the would-be mid-on.
But then Alli, who was fielding at that position, deflected the ball with his right foot and completed an incredible juggle catch. The spontaneous reaction left many spurs, including first-slip fielder Gareth Bale, cheering for Delle. Here’s the video:

“I think Joe Hart was impressed with this one,” Delle teased in the caption. Delle’s football and cricket buddies had a lot of insights on his spectacular effort too. His fellow striker Rakheem teammate was in total awe. “Nah”, he commented. English test-pacer Stuart Broad wrote, “High-quality cricket that”. Joe himself had a few words for his fielder. “Changing the game Del Boy genius,” he quipped.
The Spurs are in sensational form in the ongoing English Premier League. Having beaten Manchester City convincingly 2-0 in the last game, they’re now at the top of the table. The team looks in hot form to break its 60-year-long title drought. They’ll next face off against the PFC LudogoretsRazgrad on Friday, 27 November.
