Sreesanth Revealed Why He Hates Indian Premier League Team CSK

Recently, the Supreme Court lifted Sreesanth’s life ban imposed by BCCI for spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League. The cricketer will be allowed to play cricket from September 2020. In 2013, police arrested Sreesanth and 2 other Indian cricketers 0n the charges of alleged match-fixing in IPL match. In 2015, all three players were cleared of all the charges after they were found not guilty by Patiala House Court. However, BCCI had banned all three Rajasthan Royals players Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan.

Sreesanth’s IPL career is full of controversies. After an IPL 2008 match, Harbhajan Singh had slapped Sreesanth which created controversy. Following, BCCI suspended Harbhajan from the Indian Premier League 2008 season. Sreesanth also had a rift with Rajasthan Royals coach Paddy Upton. In his recently published autobiography, Upton wrote that once Seesanth abused him when he didn’t include him in the team for the match against Chennai Super Kings.

Sreesanth On Why He Hates CSK

Sreesanth spoke about his rumoured rift with paddy Upton in a recent interview and also revealed his hatred for CSK. He told that he never abused Paddy Upton. He said, “Mr Upton, touch your heart and touch your kid’s heads, did I ever abuse you either during India team or in Indian Premier League? I want to ask the legend Rahul Dravid, someone whom I respect and love, when did I ever fight with him? When did I abuse with him the way Upton said in his book?”

However, Sreesanth didn’t deny that he wanted to play against CSK and many times urged Upton to include him in playing xi. Sreesanth was desperate to play against Chennai because he wanted to defeat them.

Sreesanth said on his hatred for CSK, “Everybody knows how much I hate CSK, I don’t have to say. People might say because of MS Dhoni or N Srinivasan sir or whatever but that’s not the truth; I just hate the yellow colour. I hated Australia for the same reason. Most importantly, I have done extremely well against CSK that’s why I wanted to play,”
