Team India’s legendary captain MS Dhoni celebrated his 42nd birthday on July 7 and received heartwarming wishes from cricket fans and Indian players. However, two days after Dhoni’s birthday, former Indian pacer S Sreesanth posted a negative video on his Instagram account which didn’t go well with the cricket fans.

S Sreesanth played under the leadership of Dhoni for most of his cricket career. He was a part of the Indian squad that won the T20 World in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011 under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

S Sreesanth Trolled For Posting Against MS Dhoni on Instagram

On July 9, Sreesanth posted a video on his Instagram account to wish the former Indian skipper on his birthday. In the video, Sreesanth can be seen dismissing MS Dhoni during one of the IPL games between Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab.

Dhoni can be seen missing an inswinging yorker as the ball crashed onto his stumps after which Sreesanth celebrated the dismissal in a furious manner. Interestingly, the Kerala-based pacer had shared the same video clip to wish Dhoni on his birthday last year as well.

The video posted on Instagram by Sreesanth backfired as the cricket fans trolled the former pacer for sharing a negative video. One of the Instagram users wrote, “Keep looking at your past as only that’s left out.. as you’re a mere failure in your present.”

S Sreesanth was a part of the IPL 2023 commentary team and appreciated MS Dhoni for his brilliant leadership shown throughout the tournament. Thus, such a negative post from a player who has played under him was clearly unexpected.

The CSK skipper led his side to a record 5th title on May 29 and proved yet again why he is termed as one of the best leaders in the history of cricket. He has scored 5082 IPL runs so far and continues to play some crucial knocks for the CSK side.

Under MS Dhoni’s leadership, Team India clinched 3 ICC Titles. Apart from the 2011 ODI World Cup and 2007 T20 World Cup, the Men in Blue won the 2013 Champions Trophy as well which was the last ICC event won by them.
