On July 22, the Indian Cricket Team flew to Sri Lanka for a 6-match white-ball tour. Gautam Gambhir, the new Head Coach, was part of the contingent that landed in Colombo. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were not on the flight, as they will join the team later for the ODI series starting August 2.
India Tour of Sri Lanka 2024 Schedule
The T20I series will kick off on July 27, with all three matches taking place in Pallekele city, located in the Kandy district. Following this, the 3-match ODI series will be played in R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, beginning on August 2 and concluding on August 7.

Sri Lanka vs India 2024 T20I and ODI Series Squads
Suryakumar Yadav is set to lead the T20I Team as the full-time captain. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma, who impressed during the Zimbabwe tour, have been left out of the squad. Meanwhile, Riyan Parag, Ravi Bishnoi, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, and others have retained their spots in the T20 squad. World Cup winners Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, and Sanju Samson are also included in the squad for the shortest format.
As for the ODI squad, Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the 2023 World Cup runners-up. The ODI series against Sri Lanka will see the return of Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. Additionally, Riyan Parag has earned his maiden ODI call-up.
