Having played all around the world, Steven Smith’s experience in the sport is no less than anyone else’s. The star batter has racked various bowling line-ups in his career and his records speak for himself. He is the number-2 ranked batsman in the ICC Test Rankings currently. Though many bowlers would not like to ball to him, there are some bowlers who put up a challenge in front of Smith.
Being away from Cricket currently has given Steven Smith time to interact with his fans. The star Aussie batsman is currently not available to play Cricket due to his elbow injury and hence is seen active on social media. He was seen naming the current top 4 bowlers in the world according to him while replying to a fan.
Steven Smith picks ‘Fab 4’ of Bowling
To a question from a fan, which was “Most dominant bowler currently?”, Steven Smith replied that it’s tough for him to choose one. He said there are many top-class bowlers in the game currently and then he went on to name James Anderson, Pat Cummins, Jasprit Bumrah, and Kagiso Rabada as his top four.
Smith even mentioned the recent feat of Anderson, about him becoming the third-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket. Anderson surely is the best in the business which he has been proving with the increasing age as well.

Jasprit Bumrah and Kagiso Rabada would be the must-picks on anyone’s list. Both the bowlers have proven their mettle across the formats and showcased the caliber they possess. Steven Smith named his teammate Pat Cummins in the list as well. For sure, the bowler might have troubled the right-hander enough in the nets. Pat Cummins is currently the Number 1 Test Bowler in the ICC Test Rankings.

While Steven Smith is enjoying a break from Cricket, the Australian Cricket team is most likely missing the services of the right-hander. Australia has lost 2 back-to-back T20 series against West Indies and Bangladesh respectively.
Besides Steven Smith, some other experienced Australian players like, Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins, and David Warner are also unavailable currently. Steven Smith and Pat Cummins will most likely miss the second leg of IPL and would make a comeback in the T20 World Cup in October.
