Kolkata Knight Riders’ player Sunil Narine operated in top gear against Delhi Capitals in the 16th match of IPL 2024 in Visakhapatnam. He dominated the proceedings with the bat as an opener by scoring a quickfire 85 off 39 balls, laced with seven fours and as many sixes at a strike rate of 217.95. Narine provided a blistering start to the game, which gave a truckload of confidence for the rest of the batsmen to score runs at a rate of knots.

In the end, KKR posted 272/7 in their quota of 20 overs, going past RCB’s total of 263 to register the second-highest total in IPL history. It is very much certain that Narine has taken a dig at RCB’s bowling line-up, which must have surely angered the RCB fans. For the record, Narine scored a quickfire 47 off 22 balls against RCB in the recent game at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru where he constructed his innings with the help of 2 fours and 5 hits over the fence at a strike rate of 213.64. He dominated the RCB bowlers by playing a fearless brand of cricket.
