Suresh Raina joins India Maharajas team to play Legends League Cricket Masters

The LLC Masters will consist of three teams namely the India Maharajas, the Asia Lions, and the World Giants.

Legends League Cricket Masters is scheduled to begin from March 10, 2023 at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha. Team India’s former batter Suresh Raina is set to be the latest addition to the league and will play for the India Maharajas team as announced by LLC on Twitter.

Suresh Raina was hailed as a specialist T20 batter during his career and was the first Indian batter to score a T20I hundred. Courtesy of his heroics for CSK in the Indian Premier League, he is fondly called as Mr. IPL.

Legends League Cricket took to Twitter and announced Suresh Raina as the latest addition to the league as they wrote,“We are pleased to announce @ImRaina as the newest Maharaja to join the @IndMaharajasLLC!”

The LLC Masters, which will consist of three teams, namely, the India Maharajas, the Asia Lions, and the World Giants, will be played from March 10 to March 20 at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

Suresh Raina excited to play Legends League Cricket

Suresh Raina looked pretty excited about joining the India Maharajas in LLC Masters as he said, “I am looking forward to being part of LLC Masters. The format is such that we will be representing India again. It is always a pleasure to represent your country. We would focus on bringing the trophy home this time. I am really looking forward to playing with all the legends.”

The star left-hander played 205 matches in the Indian Premier League in which he amassed 5528 runs at a staggering strike rate of 136.73. Raina was considered as one of the finest batters in the IPL for his incredible consistency that helped CSK in lifting 4 IPL trophies. India Maharajas team would be looking for a similar performance from the mighty T20 batter.

Raman Raheja, Co-Founder & CEO, of Legends League Cricket, said, “We have added almost 20 new senior players for this season to the pool of 50 fifty players. We welcome Raina and Harbhajan to the Legends League Cricket. We hope to see some fireworks from these greats of the game for the India Maharajas.”

Suresh Raina will join the likes of Gautam Gambhir, who was recently announced as captain of the India Maharajas team. The first match of the Legends League Cricket Masters will be played between the India Maharajas and the Asia Lions on March 10.
