Suresh Raina reveals the best captain he has played under

The left-handed batsman picked the ex Indian captain MS Dhoni as his best captain.

Recently, in an interview, former Indian cricketer and CSK batsman Suresh Raina revealed the best captain he has played under.

Suresh Raina has been a crucial member of the Chennai Super Kings and has done exceptionally well for the franchise. He is one of the best batsmen when it comes to IPL, scoring over 5000 runs. And also Raina is the third on the list of batsmen scoring the most number of runs in the history of the Indian Premier League. Recently, in an interview, Suresh Raina revealed the best captain he has played under.

It is pretty evident for the fans that MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina share a great bond on and off the field. They have been playing for CSK ever since the inception of IPL and have been the backbone of the franchise. Apart from IPL, Raina has played under Dhoni’s captaincy in the international circuit as well. In his initial phase, the left-handed batsman also played under Rahul Dravid.

Suresh Raina even played under Virat Kohli before bidding goodbye to international cricket. In an interview with RJ Raunaq on YouTube, the CSK batsman rated all the three captains he has played under. Needless to say, Raina picked Dhoni as his best captain followed by Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli. Interestingly, Raina and Kohli have been involved in many good partnerships for India and even Raina admitted the same in the interview.

Raina had to opt out from the first leg of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League due to personal reasons, however, the batsman will be back in the team for the second leg of the tournament which is going to commence from 19th September in UAE. The duo of Dhoni and Raina have been instrumental in CSK’s success and they would love to continue their winning streak in the second leg as well.

The team is on the second spot currently on the points table with 10 points in 7 matches in their kitty. They have performed brilliantly in this season and are a strong contender for the trophy.
