Team India trains hard for the upcoming home-series against England

After a historic Test series win down under, the Indian team is all set to take up their next challenge as they start the home-tour against England on 05th Feb. The team is pretty high on confidence after what transpired in Australia and they will be looking forward to replicating their performance. The boys seem to be in a very good space as team India trains hard in a video that has gone viral.

The tour is going to span for almost two months as both the teams will be playing 4 Tests, 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs. Virat Kohli will be back in the team after his paternity leave and Ishant Sharma will also be making a comeback after his injury. However, all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the Test series due to a thumb injury he picked during the Australian tour.

Team India trains hard

The team for the first two Tests had been announced earlier where the likes of Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel were picked. The team spent six days in quarantine and was tested for COVID-19 before they could start their training. The players looked delighted and trained intensely to prepare themselves for the challenge that awaits them.

The players indulged in different activities and bonded with each other during the training session. The players haven’t had ample time to spend with their families and then had to be in the quarantine so it was a fun outdoor session for them. Indian skipper Virat Kohli was even seen playing the shadow helicopter shot.

Team England had a great run in the subcontinent as they thrashed Sri Lanka in the recently concluded two-match Test series. English skipper Joe Root was in scintillating form as he went on to score 426 runs with a double century and a century to his name. It will be a great contest between the two teams.
