Former India batter Ajay Jadeja has come up with an explosive remark after India’s Semi-final loss against England at the Adelaide Oval.
Ajay Jadeja criticized Rohit Sharma for not being with the team on multiple tours as the Indian team fielded multiple captains in the last year.
Ajay Jadeja displeased with Rohit Sharma’s absence from multiple series
Workload management was one of the most discussed topics ahead of the T20 World Cup. Indian team management kept on regularly tinkering with the squad in the name of workload management. Team India was led by 8 different captains the last year due to Rohit Sharma’s absence.
Former India batter Ajay Jadeja heavily criticized Rohit’s absence from multiple tours. “Main ek baat bolunga jo chubhegi agar Rohit Sharma sunenge, agar team banaani hai kisi captain ko, toh usko saare saal team ke saath rehna padta hai. Poore saal me Rohit Sharma kitne daure pe rahe? Ye hindsight me nahi keh raha, ye main pehle bhi bola hu. Aapne team bani hai, aur aap saath nahi rehte. Coach bhi New Zealand nahi jaa rahe,” Jadeja said on Cricbuzz.
“Ghar ka ek hi buzurg hona chahiye, saat buzurg honge toh bhi dikkat hai. (There should only be one leader in the team. If there are 7, it would be difficult).” the former India player said further. Jadeja looked furious after Team India’s loss and said that If a captain is to make a team, you have to stay with the team throughout.
The Indian team selectors kept on tinkering with the squad while the preparations were being done for the mega T20 World Cup. There wasn’t a single series where the Indian team played with the XI that they eventually fielded in World Cup games. Injuries too made things difficult for the Men in Blue.
