Trent Bridge Nottingham Pitch Report: India tour of England 2022 started off with India and England coming face to face for the 5th test match which was rescheduled to this year. Unfortunately, India couldn’t come home with the Test Series cup with a loss and former English Skipper Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow scored hundreds in the same match.
The T20 series of 3 matches which started on 7th July came in favour of the Indian Team as Hardik Pandya starred in a key role in both batting and bowling. The 2nd T20 is scheduled to be played today in Edgbaston, Birmingham. On Sunday, India and England will play the third T20 International (July 10). Trent Bridge Cricket Stadium, the match arena, is also a new T20 venue.
The Nottinghamshire ground has not been in perfect use since 2012 when West Indies faced England. Almost after a decade, this ground hosted a match between Pakistan and England in 2021.
The 1st T20 saw the return of the explosive middle-order batter and recently an IPL Champion, Hardik Pandya coming in with a great touch to his batting and bowling. Pandya had been recently struggling with his form and injuries to his shoulders but the comeback is what that matters. He top-scored with 51 off 33 as India managed to rack up 198 for 8. He whereupon took three wickets with the new ball to tear down England’s top order prior to actually having finished with 4 for 33. For his first game as England’s full-time limited-overs captain since Eoin Morgan’s international retirement, Rohit Sharma picked to bat first on an extremely good pitch and set the stage with 24 off 14 before cutting Moeen Ali’s arm ball through to Jos Buttler. India won the match with a good last over entertainer.

Trent Bridge Nottingham Pitch Report
Unlike at Lord’s or Old Trafford, the pitch at Trent Bridge is not tinted green. Nottingham’s pitch frequently has a brownish tint and continues to remain plain. Good scores are still quite common at this venue throughout all three formats. So, it is expected that it is a really good batter time in Trent Bridge, and the spinners may have to play a significant role here as well due to the pitch’s underlying slowness.
Nottingham Weather Forecast
The weather stays to be pleasant here in Nottingham with temperatures between 25-28 degrees with a decent cloud cover. The chances of rain are at the bare minimum and it is likely to be playable weather for the match.
