On Friday, Punjab Kings’ young left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar destroyed RCB’s crucial batting order in the 26th match of the ongoing edition of IPL at Narendra Modi Stadium. He took Virat Kohli as the first wicket of IPL followed by two big wickets of Glenn Maxwell and Ab de Villiers. This heroic performance from the youngster makes him an overnight sensational and helped the Punjab Kings to earn much-needed 2 points.
Harpreet Brar Slams Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar
Fans referring to their favourite cricketer with some unique phrase and names is not a new thing. However, this time when an Instagram user noticed that the Brar is looking like Akshay Kumar, from his movie ‘Singh is Bling’, the young cricketer destroyed Akshay Kumar with his tweet.
In the ‘Singh is Bling’ movie, the Bollywood actor played the role of a Sardaar Ji (Sikh Guy, who wears a turban). Akshay Kumar also did a movie named ‘Singh is King’ in which he played the role of a Sikh guy. Both movies made a very good impression in the Punjab region and also the actor was hailed for his role at that time.
An Instagram user while comparing Harpreet Brar to Akshay Kumar wrote, “Paaji Aap Singh is bling ke Akshay Kumar dikhte ho” (English Translation- Sir, you look like Akshay Kumar in the movie Singh is Bling).
However, amidst Farmer Protest in India, the Moga born cricketer slammed Bollywood actor. Brar took to Twitter and said he doesn’t wear the Turban for money and also used the hashtag #isuuportfarmers.

On Friday, during the 26th match of the IPL, Brar shows his class with the bat as well as with the ball. Firstly with the bat, he scored crucial 25 runs off just 17 balls at the lower order. And thereafter with the ball, he took 3 wickets of Virat Kohli, Ab de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell.
