The bad English of Pakistani Batsman Umar Akmal has embarrassed him on social media many times. Like most of the Pakistani cricketers, 29-year old is not having a good knowledge of the English language. Still, Akmal never shies away from using English on social media platforms such as Twitter. Yesterday, Umar Akmal posted a pic with former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, the caption of which has become a material of memes.

Umar Akmal Triggered Memes

Umar Akmal made a funny mistake when writing the tweet. The Lahore batsman mistakenly referred Abdul Razzaq as his mother. The caption reads, “Mother from another brother”. He was quick to delete the post as soon as he realised the howler. But, you can’t always erase something from the internet. The fans had noticed the comical mistake and had taken a screenshot of it.

The screenshot started circulating on the internet and it triggered many Umar Akmal memes. The trolling was this brutal that #UmarAkmalQuote started trending on Twitter. Before this incident, 29-year old has many times faced trolling for his English blunders. There are videos on the internet in which Akmal can be seen facing problems in understanding the questions of journalists and answering them in broken English.

Akmal’s Nightmare Comeback

Recently, the right-handed batsman escaped a ban for reportedly misbehaving during the fitness test. Allegedly Akmal made crude remarks to a trainer during a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. After failing in the test he allegedly asked the trainer ‘Charbi kidhar hai? (Where is the fat?)’.

Akmal was out of the Pakistan side due to lack of fitness for a long time. He got a call-up in the T20I series against Sri Lanka in October 2019. However, he had a nightmare comeback as he scored two consecutive golden ducks in return the international cricket. Once again Umar Akmal was trolled with memes on Twitter. Since the series against Sri Lanka, he has not received any all in the Pakistan team. Akmal is a part of Quetta Gladiators for the PSL 2020 starting 20 February.
