Delhi Capitals managed to register a win over Chennai Super Kings in a last over thriller on Monday. The win was even special because it came on Delhi Capitals’ skipper Rishabh Pant’s birthday. While millions of fans wished Pant on social media, numerous cricketers, cricket experts and celebrities took to twitter to convey their wishes as well. Urvashi Rautela as well joined the list late night on Sunday. Interestingly, she ended up being late to post her birthday wish for Pant and the netizens as usual were too active to let it go unnoticed.
Urvashi Rautela sends in late Birthday wishes for Rishabh Pant
The Bollywood actress posted a tweet on late Sunday night and ended up being a bit to late to wish Rishabh Pant. She wrote “@RishabhPant17 happy birthday”. But it was already Tuesday by the time she posted this. The time stamp under her tweet reads 12:55 AM · Oct 5, 2021 which means it was already the next day.

The Netizens went on to inform Urvashi the she was quite late for the wish. Some said on a funnier note that she wished Rishabh on Twitter as WhatsApp is down. Replying to this, another fan wrote based on old rumors that she has already been blocked by Pant on the messaging app.

The young skipper takes Delhi Capitals into the Play-offs
Adding to his batting abilities, Rishabh Pant has managed to prove his mettle with captain’s hat as well. He has taken Delhi Capitals to the play-offs in the very first season of him captaining the side. With 10 wins in 13 matches, DC is currently on the top of the table and have secured their spot in the top 2 as well. This mean they already have an extra game in order to qualify for the Finals.

Rishabh Pant was appointed the captain of the Delhi Capitals side at the start of the 2021 season. This was done as the former captain, Shreyas Iyer, was unavailable due to an injury. Later, when Iyer was available during the second leg of the season, the DC management decided to let Pant lead the side for the entire season and Pant has proved their decision right.
