Gill was invited to the chat show ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’ hosted by Sonam Bajwa. Bajwa asked the young batter whether the teammates too tease Rishabh Pant about Urvashi Rautela or is just outside noise. She also asked how Rishabh feels about the Urvashi Rautela links and whether he is bothered or distracted by the rumors spread in the media. Shubman Gill came up with a bold statement about the said links.
” There is nothing from Rishab Pant’s side. He doesn’t get distracted by her activities. Actually, Urvashi wants someone to tease her,” Gill said in the chat show Dil Diyan Gallan. The video clip of Gill’s statement has gone viral on social media as Gill indirectly called Urvashi an attention seeker.
There are rumours spread in the media that Pant and Urvashi have dated in the past. Earlier this year, Rautela had said that some Mr. RP had waited for her for hours in the hotel lobby. She constantly posted cryptic Instagram stories in order to get some attention. She even travelled to Australia when the Indian team was preparing for the T20 World Cup which led to the speculations that she’s traveling down in order to support Rishabh Pant during the World Cup.
Shubman Gill’s statement is crucial as it can put a full stop to all the news that’s circulating in the media. Rishabh Pant has mostly kept silent on Urvashi’s claims. However, he had reacted indirectly to one of her cryptic Instagram stories.
Pant has been in news for all the not-so-good reasons for quite some time now. He didn’t get much opportunity in the World Cup as Dinesh Karthik was preferred over him. However, considering Karthik’s age, Pant will be considered as India’s number one wicketkeeper batter in all the formats from now onwards and might get way more opportunities in the shortest format of the game as well.
