Team India’s former batter Suresh Raina is known for his exceptional fielding skills courtesy of which he had affected a number of dismissals right through his international career. Raina showed his brilliant fielding skills yet again in the US Masters T10 League as he dismissed Fidel Edwards with a direct hit.
California Knights took on Texas Chargers in the US Masters T20 League game on August 19 in Lauderhill, Florida. The TEC vs CAK game had multiple exciting moments, one of which was produced by former Indian star Suresh Raina.
Suresh Raina’s incredible direct hit in US Masters T10 League
Left-arm pacer Pawan Suyal came in to bowl the final over of the Texas Chargers innings. He bowled a full length delivery outside the off-stump which was driven towards extra cover by Fidel Edwards after which he looked to steal a single.
However, the California Knights skipper had different plans as he quickly grabbed the ball and aimed at the non-striker’s end. Raina targeted his throw perfectly and hit the bull’s eye to get rid of Fidel Edwards.
The commentators too were in awe of Suresh Raina’s direct hit in US Masters T10 League. Earlier, he had also taken a brilliant catch to dismiss Texas Chargers’ opener Mukhtar Ahmed off Ashley Nurse’s bowling.

Talking about the game, California Knights lost their opening batter Aaron Finch for a duck. However, after Finch’s dismissal, Jacques Kallis and Milind Kumar went all guns blazing against the Texas Chargers’ bowling lineup.
Jacques Kallis smashed 64 runs off just 31 deliveries including 8 fours and 3 sixes. His partner Milind Kumar played a scintillating knock of 76 runs off just 28 deliveries smashing 7 fours and 6 mighty sixes.
Both the batters remained unbeaten and took their side to a mammoth total of 158-1 in their 10 overs. Courtesy of the two batters, skipper Suresh Raina couldn’t get an opportunity to bat.
While chasing the massive target, Mukhtar Ahmed did play his shots but he didn’t get any support from the other end as wickets kept tumbling. Ahmed smashed 33 runs off just 10 deliveries including 4 maximums. Upul Tharanga too scored 27 runs off 19 deliveries.

Ashley Nurse bowled a brilliant spell and scalped 3 crucial wickets while giving away just 12 runs in his 2 overs. Texas Chargers eventually fell short by 48 runs as they could only score 110-8 in the US Masters T10 League game against the California Knights.
