Team India kick-started their tour on an emphatic note by beating the West Indies cricket team by 1-0 in the two-match Test series. Rohit Sharma and Co embarked on the third edition of the World Test Championship with a surreal win over the Caribbeans in the Test opener in Dominica. They won the game by an innings and 141 runs and deservedly took the first lead in the series.
West Indies did put some good fight in the second Test in Trinidad but at the same time, received some help from the rain. The second Test was extended till the final day but the rain spoiled the party as both teams shared a point apiece for a draw. India would be disappointed with the result whereas the Caribbeans breathed a sigh of relief as they just steered clear of a whitewash.
