Yesternight’s qualifier between CSK and DC was scintillating to say the least. After DC posted 172 runs owing to Shaw and Pant’s twin fifties, Super Kings’ reply was led by Uthappa’s explosive fifty and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 70-run-masterclass.

What could’ve been an easy win for CSK turned into a last-over thriller as the Capital’s resurgence was lead by Tom Curran’s double strike. The equation ultimately came down to 25 needed off 11, with Thala Dhoni walking in to bat.

Virat Kohli rewrites his Tweet on MS Dhoni just to add the word ‘Ever’

A tight-looking match turned out to be a cakewalk for CSK as we witnessed Vintage Dhoni yet again. ‘The Finisher’ scored 18* off 6 balls, making sure that CSK faced no hiccups on their road to the finale. Dhoni was at his destructive best and his cameo included 3 fours and an 84-metre-six. Addressing the same in a Twitter post, here’s what Virat had to say- “Anddddd the king is back, the greatest finisher ever in the game. Made me jump outta my seat once again tonight.”

Virat Kohli’s deleted Tweet was missing the word ‘Ever’

Interesting is the fact that Virat’s original Tweet was a bit different from the one above and didn’t have the word ‘ever’ in it. “Anddddd the king is back, the greatest finisher in the game. Made me jump outta my seat once again tonight,” read the original tweet, which was quickly deleted by the RCB skipper. To go out of one’s way and tweet again just to add ‘ever’ goes on to show how much King Kohli respects CSK’s chief. Such admiration from Virat is just too sweet to see and proves that the camaraderie between the former and present Indian skipper is never-ending.

What’s next for RCB and CSK?

After beating Delhi Capitals in Qualifier One, CSK has already secured a berth in this season’s IPL final. On the other hand, Kohli’s Bangalore will be facing off against Kolkata Knight Riders tonight. Chasing elusive glory in his final IPL season as captain, Virat, and his men will have to trump KKR tonight and then win the face-off against Delhi Capitals in the 2nd Qualifier, if they are to play IPL2021’s much-awaited finale which will be held on Friday, October 15.
