Team India is currently engaged in perhaps one of the most important games in the history of Test cricket. The team is up against New Zealand and fighting for the crown of the World Test Championship. The match is being played in Rosebowl, Southampton, however, the weather played a spoilsport on the first day. On the second day, the game finally started where Virat Kohli had a laugh at Rohit Sharma’s act.

The fans were eagerly looking forward to 18th June for the WTC Final was going to commence from this day onwards, however, the rain damped all the hopes of the fans as even the toss couldn’t take place due to constant rain. The toss was held on the second day which the Kiwi captain Kane Williamson won and invited the Indian team to bat first.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a steady start to the team, however, they both got dismissed in quick succession after a free-flowing partnership of 62. Rohit Sharma got out at the score of 34 off Kyle Jamieson as he tried to push an outside delivery without moving his feet much. As Rohit Sharma sat in the dressing room, he used binoculars to watch the live-action. Sharma’s act even made the Indian skipper Virat Kohli laugh. The captain was seen smiling on the field after seeing Rohit Sharma.

As for the match, it is evenly poised at the moment with India on 146 at the loss of 3 wickets. The Indian team would be looking to build upon the current score and get to 300. It would be interesting to see the approach on the third day from Kohli and Rahane as so far, they have been very cautious.
