Virat Kohli scolds Umpire Virender Sharma for 3rd wrong decision in the Match

The umpire was involved in 3 wrong decisions in the eliminator which irked the RCB skipper.

While the level of all the departments has gone a notch higher in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, one aspect of the game has really disappointed the fans and the cricketers. The umpiring in this season of IPL has been miserable. The Eliminator on Monday was yet another example of the same where Virat Kohli scolds umpire Virender Sharma for his wrong decisions.

When the fate of a team in the tournament is at stake, umpiring becomes all so important. One wrong decision by the umpire can change the complexion of the game and seal the fate of the team. The Monday evening proved to be disastrous for the on-filed umpire Virender Sharma as he was involved in 3 wrong decisions. Virat Kohli scolds the umpire for the blunders he made during the match.

The RCB skipper opted to bat after winning the toss and they got on a flying start, courtesy of Devdutt Padikkal and the captain himself. It was during the first inning that the umpire Virender Sharma gave two wrong decisions. RCB batsmen lost the plot in the middle overs and lost quite a few wickets. The umpire gave Harshal Patel and Shahbaz Ahmed out LBW when the ball was clearly hitting their bat first. Virat Kohli scolds the umpire in the second inning for his mistakes.

The third decision by the umpire came in the KKR inning when he gave Rahul Tripathi Not Out and had to overturn his decision after Kohli used DRS. This irked the RCB skipper to a great extent and Virat Kohli scolds umpire Virender Sharma for his 3 wrong decisions in the same match. This act by Kohli may have some repercussions, but the RCB captain made his stance clear.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have been eliminated from the IPL following their defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders. This was the last time when Kohli captained the side, however, he will continue as a batsman for the franchise.
