Team India locked horns with Australia in the second warm-up game of the T20 World Cup on 20th October. The team has had a good chance of filling in the gaps during the course of their two warm-ups matches. The Indian skipper looked great on the field and rallied his troops exceptionally. In fact, Virat Kohli’s advice to Rahul Chahar proved to be very useful in dismissing Glenn Maxwell.

The second warm-up game was an opportunity for the Indian team to try and test all the players before their first Super 12 game against Pakistan on 24th October. The team looked in good touch as they overshadowed the Australians with an easy victory. Even Rahul Chahar who was very expensive in the first game was able to dismiss Glenn Maxwell after Virat Kohli’s advice.

Virat Kohli’s advice helps Rahul Chahar

The moment came in the 12th over of the Australian inning when Maxwell was looking all set to get a big score. Rahul Chahar was hit for a boundary on the first delivery of his over, after which the Indian skipper had a chat with him. The boundary was followed by three consecutive dot balls and ultimately the wicket of Maxwell on the fifth ball. Virat Kohli’s advice certainly helped the young bowler to get the wicket of dangerous-looking Glenn Maxwell.

Kohli was very good on the field against Australia and captained his side pretty well. As a result, the Indian team won the game by 9 wickets. Earlier, Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bat first. The Kangaroos could only attain a score of 152 for the loss of 5 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. The target was achieved by the Indian batsmen in just 17.5 overs. Rohit Sharma scored a fluent half-century while Rahul scored 39 in the chase.
