Today on 20th October 2019, Indian former opener Virender Sehwag is celebrating his 41st birthday. The most destructive batsman received birthday wishes over social media. Cricket fraternity and fans wished with the heart over the Internet Platforms.

Virender Sehwag, the former India opener, was greeted with a unique wish from Michael Vaughan. Michael Vaughan took to Twitter and said “Happy 50th birthday @virendersehwag … Have a great day …”.

Sehwag was quick to respond to former England’s captain tweet and called himself “ageless and timeless”. “Thanks for your wishes Michael. How do you manage to keep track? I am ageless and timeless buddy,” Sehwag replied.

Four years ago, on his 37th birthday, Virender Sehwag had announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. However, once again the 41 years old cricketer is all set to return to action. When he will join the upcoming Road Safety World Series in India alongside legendary retired cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara. The tournament will be scheduled on February 2020. Cricketers from Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies along with India will feature in this league.

Before getting retired, Virender Sehwag has scored 8273 runs in ODIs, 8586 runs in Tests and 394 runs in T20I, at an average of 35.0, 49.3, 21.9 respectively. He has 38 centuries and 76 half-centuries in all formats. Initially, Sehwag had started his career as the middle-order batsman and then he becomes one of the most destructive batsmen of cricket history.

The former opening batsmen always used to play with good strike-rate whether he plays any format. The right-hand batsman had become the first Indian batsman to score two triple centuries in Test cricket.
