Wankhede Stadium Mumbai Pitch Report for the 1st IND vs SL T20
The pitch at the Wankhede Stadium is a belter of a surface where the batters enjoy their time. The pitch has very little on offer for the bowlers. It is only in the initial few overs that the pacers may find some assistance off the pitch. For the remaining part of the innings, the batters will be seen dominating. The ball skids on the Wankhede pitch and hence the batters are able to use the pace of the bowlers. The short boundaries in the stadium as well aid the scoring rate. It becomes even hard for the bowlers to contain the batters in the second innings owing to the due factor.
Looking at the past records of the Wankhede Stadium, any side would be eying to chase upon winning the toss here. The side batting first should look to score around 180 in order to challenge the opposition at this venue.
