Meanwhile, in the ongoing International Masters League, Yuvraj showed that nothing has changed and he can still field with the same energy and enthusiasm.

The league’s opening match featured Sachin Tendulkar’s India Masters against Kumar Sangakkara-led Sri Lanka Masters. In the eighth over of Sri Lanka’s innings, Lahiru Thirimanne attempted a slog off Irfan Pathan. The ball seemed destined to clear the boundary, but Yuvraj Singh leaped brilliantly, plucked it out of the air, and managed to stay balanced with the dive.

His spectacular catch not only wowed netizens and fans but also left Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara, awestruck. Batter Thirimanne was left in disbelief and the stadium erupted after the breathtaking catch. Teammates including Sachin Tendulkar and the Pathan brothers quickly rushed over to congratulate Yuvraj.

With the bat, Yuvraj Singh played a cameo role in the match as he entertained the Navi Mumbai crowd with an unbeaten 31 off 22 balls. In vintage fashion, the southpaw smashed two sixes.

Stuart Binny remained India’s highest scorer, blasting 68 off 31 balls. The reason India mounted a mammoth total of 222 was Yusuf Pathan’s explosive finish. The senior Pathan unleashed a blistering knock of 56 off just 22 deliveries, including six towering sixes in the death overs.

Sri Lankan batters didn’t disappoint their fans and put up a strong fight during the chase. The 47-year-old Kumar Sangakkara played some jaw-dropping classical strokes, showcasing his timeless elegance. The Sri Lanka captain was dismissed after scoring 51 runs.
