There is a lot of glitz, fame, and cash available for an Indian cricketer. However, they’re often subjected to a lot of hate and inappropriate comments. Especially when Team India loses. The case was not any different for 23-year-old Guna-born pacer Arshdeep Singh.

During the Super 4 clash against Pakistan, the left-armer had dropped a crucial catch (of Asif) at short third-man on the fourth ball of the 18th over.

Fan calls Arshdeep Singh a TRAITOR

PAK’s Asif Ali then played a match-winning cameo that helped the Men in Green beat Team India in a close encounter.

Only 7 runs were needed off the last over, but newcomer Arshdeep Singh made a game out of it by dismissing Ali and stretching it to the second last ball of the match. However, the furious fans remembered only the dropped chance.

Several Indian fans had hit out at Singh on social media for costing India two points. Regardless, the hate was not limited to social media.

On Twitter, a video has surfaced where an Indian fan disrespects Arshdeep Singh. In the clip, the fan can be heard calling the left-arm pacer ‘gaddar’ (traitor- a person that betrays the nation) as he walks towards the team bus.

Singh can be seen giving the fan an angry stare to the fan after entering the bus.

The people who pick on players for a single mistake are nothing but plastic fans. Nonetheless, there do exist some real and mature ones- like the man in the video who can be seen schooling the aforementioned fan for his insensitive comment.

Of all the Indian fast bowlers in the 2022 Asia Cup, Arshdeep Singh has, by far, impressed the most.

The bowler gave away just 27 runs and also took a wicket in PAK’s chase of 181 and then followed it up by bowling pin-point yorkers in an impressive last over against Sri Lanka on September 6.
