Sachin Tendulkar scored a quickfire 30 against Akshay Kumar's Khiladi XI.

Millions of hearts were broken when Sachin Tendulkar played his last international match for India, with his final appearance coming in a Test match against the West Indies in 2013. The Master Blaster misjudged Narsingh Deonarine’s ball and saw him edge an easy catch to Darren Sammy at first slip. Sammy who took the catch in his safe pair of hands chose not to celebrate because of his respect for the legend. After Sachin’s final appearance, several fans thought he would not turn up on the field again.

However, the legendary cricketer made his presence count post-retirement. He was seen playing exhibition and charity matches. Notably, he captained the MCC team in a Bicentenary Celebration match at Lord’s in 2014. Notably, he organized exhibition games in partnership with Shane Warne. India’s batting maestro captained the India Legends to victory in the 2020–21 Road Safety World Series and was the leading run-getter for the Indian team in the competition.

The Little Master was also spotted participating in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), a tennis ball tournament, played in a 10-over format. As many as six teams are taking part in the tennis-ball T10 tournament – Chennai Singams, Tiigers of Kolkata, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Bangalore Strikers, and Srinagar Ke Veer. The tournament kicked off with a celebrity match on March 6, Wednesday.

While Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar led Master XI, Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar led Khiladi XI. The highlight of the game was when Sachin Tendulkar smacked Akshay Kumar for a huge six. There was another incident that caught the attention of the cricket fraternity.

Big Boss winner Munawar Faruqui dismissed Sachin Tendulkar in the second ball of the fifth over of the Master XI innings. Following Sachin’s dismissal, there was pin-drop silence at Dadoji Kondadev Stadium. Sachin Tendulkar scored runs at a rate of knots with his 30 off 16 balls before he was dismissed by Munawar Faruqui and the video clip of the same has gone viral on the internet.
