It all happened in the third over of the Melbourne Stars’ innings when Chris Morris was about to bowl to Nick Larkin and Marcus Stoinis was standing on the non-striker’s end. Even before Chris Morris could reach the crease to deliver the ball, the ball popped out of his hand. Meanwhile, Marcus Stoinis was unaware of that and leaves the crease before getting back into the crease.

Chris Morris then cheekily tried to ran out Stoinis while the latter looked at the allrounder in a baffling manner. Morris then turned back with a smile and went to his bowling mark. The official twitter handle of Big Bash League has shared the video of the incident. Earlier in the match, after winning the toss Sydney Thunder decided to bat first at Sydney Showground Stadium in Sydney. Meanwhile, batting first, Sydney Thunder managed to score 142-7 at the end of the 20th over. From Sydney Thunder, Alex Ross was the top scorer, who scored 40 runs of 32 balls.

In the reply, Melbourne Stars’ chased down the scorer in the fourth ball of the last over and won the match with 3 wickets remaining.
