One such moment came in the 19th over of Rajasthan Royals’ innings as their Impact Player Dhruv Jurel cleverly pulled out at the last moment as Arshdeep Singh slowed down his run-up.

Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings put on a massive total of 197-4 in their 20 overs. Rajasthan Royals had a few hiccups during the chase but they were finally close to the Punjab Kings’ total courtesy of the brilliant 7th wicket partnership between Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer.

Punjab Kings’ key pacer Arshdeep Singh was given the responsibility to bowl the all-important 19th over. Rajasthan Royals needed 34 runs off the remaining 12 deliveries and the task looked pretty difficult considering Dhruv Jurel who was playing his first IPL game and was roped in as the Impact Player.

While the Punjab Kings’ fans were expecting Arshdeep to bowl an economical over, Dhruv Jurel had some different plans. Jurel smashed a four and a six on consecutive deliveries of the 19th over which brought Rajasthan Royals back into the game.

The young Indian pacer was certainly under immense pressure after giving away two consecutive boundaries. Arshdeep then tried something which didn’t go well with Dhruv Jurel and cricket fans. The left-arm pacer attempted to deceive Jurel with a stutter in his run-up.

At first, Arshdeep started steaming in and then suddenly slowed down in his run-up. The pacer regained momentum once again in order to deceive Dhruv Jurel. However, the Rajasthan Royals’ batter was clever enough to understand his tactics as he pulled out at the last moment as Arshdeep had to go back to his bowling mark.

Arshdeep faced criticism from commentators and cricket fans as he tried to deceive Dhruv Jurel with his run. Eventually, the young batter smashed another boundary on the next delivery. Arshdeep Singh gave away 18 runs in the 19th over as Rajasthan Royals came closer to the target.

While the PBKS franchise needed 16 runs in the final over, they lost their crucial batter Shimron Hetmyer as he tried looking for a non-existing second run on the third delivery. After the dismissal of Hetmyer, Sam Curran made sure to bowl some brilliant yorkers as Punjab Kings successfully defended the target.
