Pakistan cricket team have long been criticized for their sub-standard fielding display on the field and the fact that they have been in a torpid state in crucial phases of the game hasn’t done any good but has only inflicted damage on themselves. As professionals, they are supposed to be doing better in terms of comprehending the nuances of the game such that they gell very well with the rest of the team.

During the 35th game of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 between Pakistan and New Zealand at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the cricket fraternity witnessed yet another lethargic fielding display, this time in the form of Hasan Ali. Had he done it better on the field, it would have been a different story altogether. Hasan Ali’s strange fielding effort gave Mitchell Santner a lifeline.
