Jay Shah’s celebration during IPL 2023 Final last over

The viral video is from last over of IPL 2023 Final which was bowled by Gujarat Titans’ pacer Mohit Sharma. The CSK side needed 13 runs off the final over but the GT pacer bowled 2 brilliant deliveries upfront which made things difficult for them. He bowled a dot ball and then conceded just a single.

While Chennai Super Kings still needed 12 runs off the final 4 deliveries, Jay Shah looked pretty impressed with Mohit Sharma’s effort and started an early celebration. The video went viral on social media while a few Twitter users trolled him for the early celebration.

Talking about the game, Gujarat Titans got off to a flying start courtesy of their openers Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha. A few mistakes in the field committed by the CSK fielders helped their cause allowing them to score even more aggressively.

Shubman Gill scored 39 off 20 deliveries while Saha played a brilliant knock of 54 runs off just 39 deliveries. However, it was young Sai Sudharsan who showed exceptional temperament in the IPL 2023 final smashing 96 runs off just 47 deliveries helping his side post a mammoth total of 214 runs.

The CSK bowling lineup looked pretty average on the Ahmedabad pitch which was a flat deck helping batters play through the line. Matheesha Pathirana picked a couple of wickets for them while Tushar Deshpandey leaked 56 runs in his four-over spell.

In response to GT’s total, CSK batters got a great start and Devon Conway went on to score 47 runs off just 25 deliveries. Shivam Dube, Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu too played important cameos for the CSK side.
