During today’s 2022 T20 World Cup semi-final between INDIA and ENGLAND, a brand new chapter was added to the mutual infatuation between R Ashwin and Jos Buttler.

Team India fans had no reason to be cock-a-hoop as the Men in Blue were hundred percent trampled in today’s knockout again the Three Lions. However, the clip down below might bring a smile to the faces.

Ravichandran Ashwin came to bowl in the 7th over of the game and the England captain was seen mocking him. Each time that Buttler was at the bowling end during Ravi’s spell, he was seen standing much behind the popping crease until the former had released the ball.

Here is Mr. Jos Buttler promoting STAY INSIDE STAY SAFE even after the COVID-19 outbreak has been subdued:

Notably, Jos Buttler and R Ashwin share a sweet history together. The off-spinner had mankaded Buttler during IPL 2019, causing furore.

The duo seemed to be at loggerheads regarding the mode of dismissal but as fate had it planned, they had to play together for Rajasthan Royals a season later.

Jos Buttler was asked if he would allow R Ashwin to mankad under his presence in RR colors and had denied it (a couple of years earlier). However, he had also added that Ravichandran won’t listen to him and do it regardless, bursting into laughter.

Coming back to the match, Team India was outshone by England in all three (bowling, batting and fielding) departments. None of the bowlers could take a wicket, Rohit Sharma never set attacking fields and no batter except Kohli and Hardik (after getting dropped on 3) could go past the 30-run mark.

Though England made a couple of blunders in the field, they were overall more dedicated than the Men in Blue. Four of their bowlers impressed, and Jos Buttler (80* off 49) and Hales (86* off 47) got the chase dusted on their own.
