The cricket fraternity witnessed an action-packed entertaining contest between Australia and West Indies in the second Test at The Gabba in Brisbane. The Caribbeans have well and truly showcased incredible resistance for the first time in the Test series as they aspire to keep their momentum ticking to find a way to come out on top in the battle. However, it won’t be that easy for sure as they still have a lot of work to do in the second innings.

On the second day’s play, plenty of rivetting action happened, which saw as many as 12 wickets fall across sessions. The game is evenly poised now and with three days left, there is plenty of action to be seen. West Indies need to add plenty of flesh to the scoreboard to sniff a chance of a win. As things stand, the visitors lead by 35 runs in the second innings and they will resume the innings at 13/1 on Day 3.

Kemar Roach falls while taking a single; and gets dismissed for a run-out

During the West Indies’ first innings, tail-ender Kemar Roach was trying his utmost best to add a few runs to the account. He showed some resistance down the order by scoring 8 off 39 before he was dismissed in a disappointing manner. During the fifth ball of the 105th over, Kemar Roach defended Pat Cummins’ delivery and decided to take a single. However, Kevin Sinclair, who was at the non-striker’s end turned him down.

As it happened, Kemar Roach had already covered half the distance of the 22 yards. Upon realizing that his partner refused to take a single, Kemar Roach suddenly changed his mind and decided to get back to the striker’s end before he inadvertently slipped and lost his complete balance. He fell on the pitch before he could get back to the striker’s end as he was run out by the combined efforts of Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head. The video clip of Kemar Roach’s run-out dismissal has been doing the rounds on social media
