Inter Miami have been stuttering to dictate terms in MLS 2023. The American professional soccer club neither had the spark nor the zeal to dominate the proceedings in the top professional soccer league, which is being played in the United States and Canada. Currently, they are positioned at the bottom of the points table. Having played 22 games so far, they could muster just five wins, played out for 3 draws and lost 14 games.

Robert Taylor opened the account in the 44th minute before Uriel Antuna scored an equaliser for Cruz Azul.

However, Lionel Messi changed the entire complexion of the game by scoring a stunning free-kick at stoppage time. The veteran came out as a substitute in the 78th minute and turned things around for Inter Miami in the finishing stages by scoring a surreal goal in the 94th minute, which sealed a memorable win for the club. It was a debut to remember for the former PSG man.

Meanwhile, the experienced campaigner made his presence count in the second game of the League Cup by scoring a brace before assisting once for Inter Miami against Atlanta United. Inter Miami once again benefitted from Messi’s services as they won the first two games and are currently topping the Group J table. Inter Miami supporters couldn’t have asked for a better and complete performance from the players.

Messi opened the account in the 8th minute before scoring another one in the 22nd minute. In the second half, he provided a sublime assist to Robert Taylor who beautifully converted it by outsmarting the goalie. Earlier, in the finishing stages of the first half, Robert Taylor scored a goal in the 44th minute. Inter Miami absolutely gave the opposition a run for their money as they humiliated them with a 4-0 rout.
