All-rounder Manvanth Kumar was given the responsibility to bowl the final over. Jagadeesha Suchith smashed the fourth delivery of the over down the ground in an attempt to get a maximum.

Manish Pandey, who had placed himself at the long-off boundary, leaped in the air, grabbed the ball and then threw it back outside the boundary rope. Pandey’s spectacular effort saved a certain boundary at the most crucial time in the game.

Suchith had completed a single but couldn’t get the chance to run back for the second as the Hubli Tigers’ skipper quickly threw the ball back at the non-striker’s end. His acrobatic effort saved 5 vital runs for his side.

On the next delivery Monish Reddy ran for a bye and gave back the strike to Jagadeesha Suchith. However, Suchith couldn’t time the ball this time on the penultimate delivery of the Maharaja KSCA Trophy final and handed a comfortable catch to Vidwath Kaverappa.

Manish Pandey’s brilliant attempt at the boundary line eventually turned out to be the tournament-winning save as the Mysore Warriors side could only score 3 runs in the final over and fell short of the target set by Hubli Tigers by 8 runs.

Pandey had earlier smashed a breathtaking fifty off just 23 deliveries including 3 fours and 4 maximums. Opening batter Mohammed Taha too played a brilliant knock as he scored 72 runs off only 40 deliveries including 7 fours and 4 sixes as the two batters took their side to a mammoth total of 203-8.
