Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has been in the headlines during the Pakistan Super League for all the wrong reasons. Amir has now grabbed attention after he lost his calm on teammate Tayyab Tahir for a poor fielding effort during the game between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings on March 6 in the PSL 2023.

Mohammad Amir yet again loses his temper in PSL 2023

Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has a knack of losing his temper for which he has been criticized multiple times during the ongoing Pakistan Super League. In the game against Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi, Amir couldn’t hold on to his emotions after his teammate Tayyab Tahir displayed a poor fielding effort.

The game between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings was getting really close as Mohammad Amir came in to bowl the 19th over. The Quetta-based franchise needed 11 runs off 7 deliveries as the left-arm pacer bowled a short delivery around the fourth stump line which was heaved by Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Sarfaraz couldn’t time the shot properly as the ball landed in the mid-off region. Tayyab Tahir tried attempting the catch but was quite late to get off the blocks as the ball landed in front of him. Tahir couldn’t even stop the ball as it went past him allowing the batting pair to complete the double after which Mohammad Amir lost his cool.

Amir looked completely furious as he started shouting at Tayyab Tahir who went back to his fielding position. Even as Amir finished his over, he looked really upset at Tayyab Tahir as he kept complaining about the misfielding which allowed the Quetta Gladiators an extra run.

Eventually, the misfielding did prove to be costly for the Karachi Kings as the Quetta Gladiators chased down the total on the second last delivery of their innings.

Earlier, Karachi Kings reached to a competitive total of 164 runs as their opener Adam Rossington smashed a 45 ball 69 while skipper Imad Wasim too chipped in with a quick-fire 30. Pacer Naseem Shah and Aimal Khan scalped couple of wickets each.

In response to Karachi Kings’ total, Martin Guptill provided his team the kind of start they were looking for as he scored a swashbuckling 86 off just 56 deliveries including 4 maximum which allowed Quetta Gladiators their second victory in PSL 2023. Tabraiz Shamsi was the pick of the bowlers as he dismissed 2 opponent batters while giving away just 20 runs from his four-over spell.
