Pakistan and New Zealand squared off in a T20 international on October 8 which was bagged by the Men in Green. Batting first, New Zealand had put 147 on the board as left-handed opening batsman Devon Conway top-scored with his 36 off 35 balls.
Though the second innings was all about Babar Azam (79*), Conway (who also keeps) put in an outrageous fielding effort that overshadowed everything else for a little while.

The incident occurred on the 4th delivery of the second inning’s 12th over. Southee bowled a length ball to Shadab Khan, who had gotten a promotion in the batting order.
In an audacious attempt, the all-rounder got his knees and scooped the ball. It looked like there were enough legs it to fetch four. However, NZ wicket-keeper Devon Conway had different plans.
Despite having his wicket-keeping pads on, Conway swiftly turned roundabout and sprinted for about 50-55 meters before putting in a slide to block the evading ball with his left boot.

Interestingly, the wk-batter managed to outrun Ish Sodhi, New Zealand spinner who was running in from fine leg.

The amazing effort from Devon Conway saved his side 2 runs as Babar and Shadab could only run two in the meantime.
Earlier in the game, Mark Chapman’s 16-ball-32 had given NZ bowlers a fightable total.
However, it wasn’t enough as on the basis of a brilliant Babar Azam knock (79* off 53) accompanied well by Shadab’s quick 34, Pakistan won the game with 10 balls to spare.
Southee and Boult put on a great bowling display but there didn’t exist a desirable endgame to it. Other NZ bowlers lacked control over their line and length and there just weren’t enough runs on the board.
