Watch: Paul Collingwood’s daughter clean bowled Joe Root with a perfect inswinger

Joe root acts as if he actually missed the ball and celebrates his dismissal with Collingwood's daughter.

The Stokes-led England side has recently defeated New Zealand 3-0 in a Test series at home. England will next be facing India for the 5th and the last test of the LV=Insurance Test series. Meanwhile, Joe Root who is in the form of his life was bowled out by a young girl. It happened during the 3rd ENG vs NZ test, after the third day’s play. Joe root was seen playing cricket with Paul Collingwood’s daughters after the play got over and he got clean bowled by the elder one.

Joe Root has been in sublime form for the past two years where he has scored 10 centuries and went way past the other three batters in the fab-four – Virat Kohli, Steven Smith, and Kane Williamson, in terms of the number of runs scored. The right-hander has also scored two hundreds in the recently concluded test series against New Zealand. In the same series, he was also adjudged ‘the player of the series.

Paul Collingwood’s daughter dismisses Joe Root, video goes viral

Paul Collingwood, the former England skipper posted the video of the incident on social media and it is going rounds over the internet ever since. In the video, it can be seen that Collingwood’s elder daughter Keira Collingwood bowls an inswinger to Root who misses it completely and gets clean bowled. However, it is understood that Root willingly played the ball late in order to let Keira celebrate his wicket.

Root can be seen giving a high-five to Keira after she bowls him out. The cricket enthusiasts over the internet have gone on the appreciate Joe Root for letting the ball go past his bat.

In another video that Collingwood posted, Root was seen bowling to the younger daughter Hannah Collingwood. Root bowled a tricky delivery to the girl and deceived her which led to the ball hitting the stumps. Collingwood, who advised his daughter to smash the ball moments before, is heard having a good laugh after this.
