England and New Zealand are currently taking on each other in the first test match at the iconic venue of Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, England. As far as the game is concerned, Kane Williamson went on to win the toss and he decided to bat first as well but they had a shaky start against England in the first test match. However, New Zealand were bundled out for only 132 runs in their first innings and Ben Stokes-led England got off to a steady start as well.
But, England players too found themselves in a poor state. The hosts were all out for just 141 runs in 42.5 overs in their first innings against New Zealand as well. New Zealand players were found into trouble again after losing four wickets quickly for 56 runs as well. But Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell did well too. England’s pace bowlers are struggling in the middle after an early start as well.

However, during the game, a funny incident happened where Ben Stokes and New Zealand players were seen laughing and sharing a fun moment in the middle. The ball touched Ben Stokes’ bat reminding everyone of a similar situation in the 2019 World Cup final, where the ball hit Ben Stokes’ bat and it went for a boundary. And, England eventually won because of the superior boundary count as well.
And, here in the ongoing game, England captain Ben Stokes was on the non-striker’s end, and former captain Joe Root pulled a delivery from the veteran pace, bowler Trent Boult. The player fielded well and threw back to the bowler’s end as well. However, Ben Stokes decided to take a run but he was immediately sent back by Root as the player has fielded well. While the veteran all-rounder Stokes reached the crease on time, the throw hit his bat and deflected for an overthrow as well and reminded the old incident as well.
