England pulled a victory out of nowhere in the first Test just as when they sensed that India were slowly moving off the track. The Three Lions were clinical and fired all the cylinders and deservedly took the first lead in the series. After a shocking defeat to the Three Lions in the Test opener in Hyderabad, Team India went back to the drawing room and came up with a different template for the second Test in Vizag.

Notably, the change of tactic and approach has reaped rewards so far for the home side. Team India made a stellar rebound in the second Test by winning the game by a huge margin of 106 runs to level the series. In the absence of KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli, India relied on their available resources to better effect. Talking about the game, India set up a target of 399 for the visitors.

Ravichandran Ashwin celebrates right in front of Jonny Bairstow after the latter’s dismissal

During England’s run-chase, Ravichandran Ashwin tried to get under the skin of Jonny Bairstow after the latter got dismissed on Day 4 of the second Test. Jonny Bairstow who came out to bat at No.6 slowly paced up his innings by scoring fours and taking singles. Just as when he was about to get set at the crease, he was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah but what happened thereafter was a raw emotion featuring Ravi Ashwin.

The incident happened during the fourth ball of the 43rd over when Jasprit Bumrah trapped Bairstow for a leg before wicket. The Indian players were elated after the dismissal and interestingly, Ravi Ashwin took his celebration to the next level by doing it right in front of Bairstow.
