We have seen Ashwin makading batters at the non-striker’s end a couple of times before. But during the second test, he let Marnus go away with just a warning. The warning made everyone in the crowd go wild as Ashwin has a habit of mankading players at the bowler’s end.

In the 19th over of the first innings of Australia Khawaja and Labuschagne were battling out against the deadly dup of Ashwin and Jadeja. Ashwin was bowling his 7th over of the innings while Australia was 72-1. Khawaja was facing the 5th delivery of Ashwin while Marnnus Labuschagne was standing at the other end.

Ashwin waited to deliver the ball and stopped in between his delivery stride to warn the non-striker who was already short of his crease. Marnus was ahead of the crease at that time but fortunately, Ashwin didn’t attempt to mankad him.

After the warning given by the spin maestro, the Australian decided to stand just next to the umpire. Labuschagne’s hilarious act is getting viral on the internet. His fellow partner Khawaja couldn’t stop himself from laughing at the incident.

Ashwin became only the 2nd Indian to take 100 wickets against Australia in Test cricket

During the 2nd test in Delhi Ashwin reached another milestone. He completed his 100 wickets against the Aussies in his 20th game. Before him only legendary spinner Anil Kumble was able to achieve this rare feat. Kumble picked 111 wickets against the mighty Aussies in just 20 test matches.

Ashwin completed this milestone after dismissing Alex Carey for a duck. The off-spinner 3 big wickets on his name in the innings.

His fellow partner Ravindra Jadeja also completed a personal milestone of taking 250 wickets in test cricket. Jadeja reached the 250 figure in 62 matches with an average of 24.28.

The spin duo shined once again as they picked 3 wickets each in the innings on day 1.
