The sight of batters dominating on the cricket field is quite common in modern cricket. Countless times we have seen the batters playing with the field and smacking the ball all around the ground. However, in a recent incident that turned out to be hilarious, a batter was seen playing with the field without even facing a ball. The batsman pretended to be a left-hander and forced the fielders to change their positions.
The batsman came into the pitch after the first wicket fell, and started off by taking the guard. Interestingly, he took the guard while standing in a way that made him look like a left-hander. As soon as the fielders sensed that the new batter is a left-hander, they immediately ran to the other side of the pitch. While the fielders were shifting their positions, the batter was busy marking his guard.
Once the fielders had shifted to the other side of the pitch, the batter stood on the pitch as a right-hander which he actually was, and surprised everyone. The bowler then signaled the fielders to come back to their previous positions. The two fielders again had run back towards the area they were fielding before. The incident looked quite hilarious from the outside but could have been quite annoying to some, had the match situation been intense.
The batsman himself posts the video on social media
Harinder Singh Sekhon, a Malaysian Cricketer, and the person who pulled off the funny act, himself posted the video of the incident on social media. He went on to title his own act as something he has never seen before in all his years of cricket.
