Kolkata Knight Riders failed to qualify for the playoffs last season by finishing seventh on the points table, winning six games and lost the remaining eight games. Nitish Rana who replaced the injured Shreyas Iyer in IPL 2023 season lacked the tenacity to take the team forward. Nevertheless, KKR player, Rinku Singh became a major talking point for his blistering batting masterclass.

KKR’s Rinku Singh stole the spotlight when he hit 5 consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal in the clash against Gujarat Titans where he pulled off an impossible task to guide the team to a memorable win. Rinku Singh will be looking forward to bolstering the team’s batting attack in the upcoming season. Shreyas Iyer is back to lead the team whereas Gautam Gambhir has reunited with his old franchise, this time as a mentor.
