The battle is on for the place in the playoffs and the fans are in for a double-header on a Tuesday as well. There was a scary moment in the match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders where Rishabh pant almost knocked out Dinesh Karthik.

Delhi Capitals have played exceptionally well in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League and they have maintained their position in the Top-4 since the beginning. However, in their match against KKR on Tuesday, the team faltered. The KKR bowlers were at their best as they chipped in with wickets at regular intervals, giving no relief to the DC batsmen.

Rishabh Pant was the joint high scorer with Steve Smith as they both score 39 runs for their team. The DC inning never got going as the batsmen were bombarded with a lot of slow deliveries by the KKR bowlers. In one of the scary moments of the match, Rishabh Pant almost knocked out Dinesh Karthik with his bat, trying to stop the ball.

The incident happened in the 17th over of the DC inning when the Capitals were struggling and Pant was trying to get some momentum. Varun Chakravarthy bowled a tight delivery which was chopped by Pant near his feet, but it bounced and got close to the stumps. Rishabh Pant almost knocked out Dinesh Karthik trying to stop the ball from going on to the stumps.

The KKR keeper showed great reflexes and got out of the way just in time to avoid getting swatted by Pant’s wild bat swing. As for the match, KKR won it at the end, despite some hiccups. With these 2 points, the Kolkata army has broken into the Top-4 with 10 points. Delhi Capitals remains unscathed even after the loss.
