The outing as skipper turned out to be a good one for the 24-year-old keeper-batsman as he aggregated 29 runs during 211-run India innings. However, the batter had to walk back without playing any ball if South African players hadn’t given him the second chance.

Tristan Stubbs was quick to collect the ball and all he had to do was safely hand over the ball to the fielder who was standing on the stumps. But he committed a howler by throwing it over the fielder’s head. And it between Pant made his ground. Thus, both sides were involved in a mix-up.
